Gornji Okrug
Gornji Okrug is a tourist village on the Ciovo Island in the Croatian region of Dalmatia. It is connected with Trogir town by a movable bridge. Gornji Okrug is located just 40km from Split and can boast of its beautiful beaches, coves and camp sites.
Gornji Okrug is a former fishermen’s village, which now is turned into a small tourist-oriented resort. In the village you can find one 3-star hotel and several holiday homes. One of the ways to get to Gornji Okrug is by ferry. You can get here from Split on even Italy. You can also use the nearest airport that is located 7km away from Gornji Okrug. Travelling by car is also possible via the movable bridge, which connects the Ciovo Island and Trogir town. But the main disadvantage is huge crowds on the bridge during the summer season.
